Sridevi womens engineering college is located at Gandipet is well known college for engineering course. It was established in the year 2001.After working hard for future of the engineers. Sridevi womens engineering college slowly started spreading its wings. The idea of starting P.G.Courses sprung up in the minds of the able administrators of this college and it was equally supported by the vice-chancellor and staff of JNTU.So Since 2006 Sridevi Engineering College is having MCA full time course (three courses. We are affiliated to JNTU, working under their guidance.
A global scenario is giving significance to information technology. The mission of the department is to equip students with knowledge and creative skills and to groom them properly to seek jobs in IT industry. IT industry which has taken a big leap in the past demands knowledge able, skillful and talented people. We arrange guest lecturer. Resourceful people from IT background are invited to train students. The curriculum is flexible in its approach and has been designed with the objective of incorporating the latest trends in the industry, thus enabling the students to update their knowledge of technology regularly.

The syllabus covers various topics with latest information. The course contains with theoretical and engineering aspects of embedded systems, human computer interaction, Perl programming, distributed operating, systems, mobile computing, systems programming,E-Commerce,Multimedia application development, object oriented analysis and design using UML,software project management, middleware technologies, software testing methodologies, advanced database. Through in above mentioned avenues makes the work of job hunting easier for students.So, they are geared and charged up to take jobs in IT sector.

Year of Establishment :

Sridevi Engineering college is established in the year 2001 and sponsored by Sridevi Educational society. The Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 2006 with an intake of 60 students. The first batch of students left with flying colors and made their own mark in the corporate world.

Achievements/Placements :

Majority of the eligible candidates have secured Campus Placements in various National and Multi-National Software Companies including Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Motorola and Satyam. Many students who passed out are also pursuing post-graduate programs in India and many more have topped GRE, Toffel and pursuing their MS in USA and some have settled down in IT industry thru out the world. The department has encouraged the students to participate in sports events at College, University and State Level.
