SRIDEVI WOMEN’S ENGINEERINGCOLLEGE won the best college award in ALL INDIA INTER COLLEGIATE ICFAI TOURNAMENT.

SWEC Sports teams participated in many Inter Collegiate Sports meet during second half of this academic year 2008-2009 and won many titles for the college.

A report on these events is as follows:

1. In All India Inter College Tournament held at BITS Pilani, Rajasthan from 10th to14th September, 08. Anisha Koti of MBA - II won the 1 gold medal and 3 silver medals in swimming event.   

2. JNTU Zone-B Inter Collegiate Tournament held at Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College from 17th to 20th October 2008. Winners: Throw ball, Badminton: Doubles- Winners, Singles- Runners, First in March-Past.

IN THIS TOURNAMENT SRIDEVI COLLEGE WON THE OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP

3. In A.P.Inter Engineering Collegiate Sports meet held at C.B.I.T from 12th
to 14th Feb 2009. Volley ball-Winners, Throw ball-Runners.

4. In All India Inter Engineering Sports Fest held at VNR VJIET College from 17th   to 19th Feb 2009.Third in Throw ball.

5.  In Narayanamma Inter Collegiate Sports meet held at GNITS from 27th
to 28th  Feb 2009. Volley ball-Runners, Throw ball-Runners
K. Betty Pal of III CSE won the Best Player Award in Volley ball.
B. Sandhya of III EEE won the Best Player Award in Throw ball.

6. In All India Inter college Annual Sports Meet held at RRC ground organized by ICFAI from 19th to 21st Mar 2009.

State Representatives: M.L Manju Bhargavi of III IT and Jyothirmayee of II CSE won the FIRST place in 54th SENIOR INTER DISTRICT Ball Badminton Tournament held at Midhani, R.R District from 6th to 8th December 08.

ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY Representatives: M.L Manju Bhargavi of III IT and Jyothirmayee of II CSE participated in the Ball Badminton Championship held at Bharathidasan, Thiruchi from 9th to 14th January 2009.

JNTU CENTRAL ZONE INTER COLLEGE TOURNAMENT
Sridevi Women’s Engineering College Volley Ball Team won the First place in the J.N.T.U .Central Zone Tournament held at Shri.Vishnu Engineering College, Bhimavaram on 8 & 9 February, 2008.The Players include: 1.Janani (Captain) ECE IV 2.Sruthi EEE II 3.Betty Pal CSE II 4.Geetha Madhuri EEE II 5.Rajyalakshmi EEE II 6.Swapna CSE I 7.S.Deepthi EIE I 8.Jhansi EIE I 9.Jagadiswari EIE I.

JNTU ZONE-B INTER COLLEGE TOURNAMENTS
SWEC Throw Ball team won the First place in the Zone-B Inter College Tournament held at ST.Martin’s Engineering College on 29 & 30 January 2008.

SWEC won the First place in March-past competition in this tournament.

Our college Table Tennis (Doubles) Team won the Second place in the Zone-B Inter College Tournament. The players are: 1.Betty Pal CSE II 2. Sandhya EEE II.
